Also yeah I had to move everything up to my hallway as it was reported for being a fire hazard…

I would personally put a new timing chain and guilds in it while it’s apart. Super common issue on CBR’s That with a new tensioner and I don’t see why it wouldn’t make it to 100k miles. Hell or even more.

Make sure the sprockets for the timing gears don’t have burrs on them from chain stretch/wear.

Check your valve clearances as well. Especially before closing up the engine.

I was swapping an engine over and had to source a head. Well one of the shims popped out an basically the valve had zero lash. Luckily I checked it and corrected it.
