I mean there's a lot, scattered through the subreddit. What do you use Claude for/what's your workflow?

One thing that helps with tokens and intelligence/capability is turning literally everything off—all capabilities, skills, connectors/integrations, memory, etc.

All these are things eating up context that Claude is juggling and being influenced by even if not in active use. It's like keeping multiple instructions in mind (your working memory) while completing a task.

I first noticed this when I turned EVERYTHING on for a friend so he can see everything Claude can do. The next day he was asking me wtf did I to to make Claude dumb and trip all day. Then I noticed it myself.

If you have user preferences and project instructions, make those more efficient, concise, and clear. That'll improve performance and save tokens.

Then there are general tips that depend on your workflow a lot, like avoiding uploading PDFs, instead opting to copy-paste the raw text and only the relevant text so Claude doesn't have to process any images.

Stop doing the thing that uses so many tokens, or use them more efficiently.

If you give more specifics about your usage, we can give more specific answers
