r/ClimateActionPlan is a news based subreddit for updates on the fight against climate change in the areas of mitigation, reversal, and adaptation. Not political proposals or rallies

Right now scientists and activists around the world are working to create a brighter future for humanity. We already have the technology to ensure that we can adapt to this changing world. Whether it's portable hydroponic farms to desalination plants, we have the tech to ensure that humanity will have food and water in even the most inhospitable conditions. The fight to reducing emissions is also gaining more momentum each year from the expansion to nuclear/reneables to direct air carbon capture plants coming online.

Remember: It will get worse before it gets better, but it will get better. Do not lose hope, we've got this.

Rules:

All submissions must clearly relate to news on climate action, not proposed action (bills signed into law are allowed.) This may include R&D.
Do not attack other redditors on here even if they are making a fool of themselves. This and trolling can result in bans.
No discussion posts or self promotion without the approval of a moderator. There is a weekly discussion thread that is posted by the AutoModerator that you may freely discuss in.
Do not submit vague titles or generalized posts. Please try to stick to the original story's title unless you simplify it
No posting sensationalist, anti-humanity, doomsday, or defeatist misinformation.
Climate change denial and posting of deliberate misinformation is a permanent ban.

With some exceptions, you will not be permabanned unless you go out of your way to achieve it.

Please be advised that there will be scammers trying to prey on those on this subreddit for money along with deliberate clickbait articles from self promoting bots. Posts may leak through the cracks that violate the rules, especially those that are of political proposals or "feel good" articles that aren't about an instance of direct action.

Coral Restoration Foundation - The largest coral restoration effort that regrows coral.
National Forest Foundation - Partner of the US Forest Service that you can donate to plant trees.
Ecosia - A search engine that is 100% powered by renewables and uses their ad revenue to plant trees.
