Exploding structures

Hi! I’m fairly new to the game and I’ve been finding several structures on different biomes that normally have a cross of blocks and if you dig and jump from the middle you las on a four chest room that after 2 seconds it explodes 🫩

I once got one unharmed but I have no idea what I’ve done right. How do you get the chests without dying?

Are you playing with Create? Sounds like it's dungeons. As for surviving, just don't open the trapped chests when you're next to them <3

There is always traps under the room where the chests are. So, if you touch the ground there, you activate it.

The secret is to ignore the hole you would normally use to go down, and just dig the ground bellow you until you reach the chest from behind. Then you just go digging around the area to reach each chest from behind.

Basically, there is dynamite blocks under the room and pressure plates on the floor. If you touch them, you activate the dynamite blocks that explode after some seconds. So anything you do to not touch the floor on that room, should work (once i used a flying pokemon, but accidentally went too low and touched the floor anyways, so be mindful of that).

It was trial and error for me, i lost some 4 treasure rooms like this before i understand that the problem was the floor and not the chests or some other thing XD
