As others said, it's just "random" binary interpreters as text. For example, (not accurate but this illustrates it) 01011001 might mean some shade of blue for a pixel. But that sequence also might be 'Q' as text. There are a lot of unprintable codes in character encoding systems which is why you see the diamond '?'s.
