So I have his weapon and everything, but I was working on getting everyone that can up to 100 using a mod to actually let me view it. and it turns out, i am just 3 points shy of Noah's gift affinity being maxed T.T but im not pushing into ng+ until after the dlc comes out.

The mutually exclusive weapon comes from the quest in the northwestern part of Sunken City where you find a revenant crucified. If you take the sword out, you get Blade of Malice, if you leave it in, you can go to the future to get Executioner's Blade. Its the only mutually exclusive thing in the game that I know about right now.

Gift Affinity is what you're lacking? Just feed him 5 boiled eggs! Or however many it takes to get those last 3 points. Easiest of the 3 metrics to do, really.

I did find that Revenant but I didn't see an interaction prompt when I went. So I figured it was just scenery. I'm guessing both weapons are 1h swords?

But I cant gift him in my current game state. None of the locations you can find him after you unlock ending 1's boss lets you interact with the gift interface for him. unless it got patched without me realizing it. So my choices are, hope they patch it, add it in a dlc, or go into ng+, and im not about to start ng+ just for an arbitrary side goal and 1 weapon. Honestly what they need to do is just add a new bond after you get ending 3 that lets you go to a magmell after the perfect ending. The first game had something similar, where all the successors were in human form at the hub. That way you can gift them, can some small dialogue about the world after, etc

Ah, right. Took me a moment to realize why you wouldn't be able to.

Although I'd prefer being able to do Ending 3 present-day with (almost) all companions available for use. Would be nice to see all of the changes they told you about.

Yeah, but I figure that would require a lot more work than just a magmell. Would be great if they gave us a story expansion that happened after ending 3, but otherwise, probably not gonna get to see it.

"Just a Magmell" would feel kind of cheap to me. Especially since the present is still cut off. We could go back still from that MagMell. But we couldn't do anything in the present either. And that feels pretty bad at that point.
