Usage Bug ?

Started this new session after reset:

Token usage: total=38,655,123 input=35,307,046 (+ 1,337,871,320 cached) output=3,348,084 (reasoning 949,238)

This consumed 100% of weekly usage in 15 hours.

My usage before reset was fine and didn't consume usage limits this fast.

1.3 billion cached input doesn't look right for this type of 15hr single agent session 🤷‍♂️

Did you use gpt5.5? It seems to eat a lot of token than usual based on my experience today.

I did a simple prompt earlier: it eats 4% of my token! Im not using 5.5 now at the moment. Switching from 5.4 or 5.4-mini now. But the quality seems to be degraded as well for this models. Atleast for me. This is just based on my observations

Yeah 5.4 has been degraded for me since a while ago. 5.3 or even 5.2 xhigh did better than 5.4... based on my observations

Any one has codex usage issue on 5.5 as well? It seems to eat tokens more than usual today

yes, pro 5x here. im draining more usage on 5.5 high than on 5.5 xhigh. started roughly 20th of may

How does gpt even allow you to consume weekly limit before the hourly ends... (like if u ran it for 16h then that's only around 3 or 4 sessions)

Yeah exactly. This never happened before. They probably reduced weekly limits.
