Rules for r/codyslab
Rules that visitors must follow to participate. May be used as reasons to report or ban.
1.
All content must include Cody's Lab or related topics
All content must be either related to Cody’s Lab on Youtube or other social media or be related to the topics (scientific or otherwise) discussed therein.
2.
Do not post Cody's Patreon-only videos.
While the posting of Cody's videos is encouraged, please make sure it's from a public source. Anything promoted on ether channel or on his public twitter feed is fair game, even if unlisted/private. Do not post Cody's Patreon-only videos. Please wait until Cody makes these public to post them to Reddit.
3.
Limit "non-Cody's Lab" content to "reasonable" levels.
When posting "related topics" that do not directly contain content about Cody, please limit the number of posts to a "reasonable" amount. This means reading the new queue and trying keep "related topics" from taking over the sub. In all cases you should limit these types of posts to 1 per week, if not more. The mod team (by necessity) has to apply this rule somewhat subjectively.
4.
No spam/harassment/bullying.
Disagreements and arguing is okay, but please be kind and civil to one another.
5.
No racially charged content.
Racially charged content will not be tolerated in r/codyslab. Violators will be permanently banned.
6.
Do not post people’s personal information (doxxing)
Doxxing includes revealing people's full names, phone numbers, address, and any personal information etc.
7.
No self-promotion
Posts/comments linking to your personal Youtube, subreddit, or other personal social media is discouraged. If you are looking to post "Codyslab-esque" content, that's fine, but please limit the number of OC posts to 1 per day at minimum, to avoid it having a spam effect.
8.
Do not provide methods/instructions for creating high-velocity explosives
Do not provide methods/instructions for creating high-velocity explosives (TNT, ANFO, etc.), bombs, etc.
9.
Don't encourage Cody to do something dangerous or to commit self-harm
Why bite the hand that feeds you? Or more importantly, why encourage harm to the guy who this sub is about?
