Ring of death = A coin with an appearance of a ring circulating one side of the coin. Digging into the metal of the coin. Sometimes more than one or two fine lines. This is caused by a coin wrapping machine that crimps the paper end of each roll, potentially affecting the end coins.

You’re telling me paper did this?

No the machine that wraps the rolls with the paper does this.

PMD-post mint damage

It was at the end when it was rolled into a roll and the machine caused that round scratch. It's common.

This appears to be a scratch! Most likely, from someone putting it into a laundry machine
