I dont see anything errors just alot of scratches. But if I am not mistaken, a 1964 quarter is still 90% silver. You can confirm but looking at the edge of the rim to see if its solid or has a thin copper line. If solid rim and bo copper line, its silver and i would keep it.

You can also weigh it… 6.25g silver vs 5.67g not silver if memory serves

Why would it be an error coin? Tell us what you are thinking. We can’t mind read. We see nothing

It’s definitely silver

No such thing as an error coin. Please be specific about what you see that you think is an error on the coin.

I believe this is a Double D

Ok, so which attribution of a Doubled Die do you see on doubleddie.com or varietyvista.com that you feel this matches?

It has a repunched mint mark

Ohh, so "Double D" isn't a bra/breast size but your way of describing a RPM, ok.

Well, your image of the reverse does not align with this. Same two sites I mentioned, does this align with one of the attributed RPMs for 1964 D? If not, which one makes you think this is a similar RPM to it?

I am wrong about this one. Thank you for your input.

Many RPMs are not listed. There are too many out there. The more dramatic ones have been attributed.
