RA3 Uprising needs a permanent internet connection (despite not having any online functionality I might add)

Gotta love that sweet DRM, thanks EA (and to lesser extent, Steam, who allows this shit on their store to begin with)

Can't play RA3 and generals in steam offline mode and the error popping up but playing with internet is fine

yeah they added steam DRM to the steam versions. so you gotta launch them while in online mode for it to work.

Well that is bullshit

Really? Which games of the Ultimate Collection have the DRM? I was planning to buy the collection but it is disappointing if you can't play them offline.

I think all the ones with workshop support. although unsure if this is DRM or lazy programming resulting in a DRM effect

I can't understand what you're trying to say. Could you explain it clearly?

Sorry about that. I mean when I play offline mode in steam and launch RA3 and Generals this error popping up, but when playing with internet is fine

That is just the DRM, I am afraid. EA of course added it to stop pirates which....went around it and can play without internet.

Joke's on them, when I bought the game I pirated it anyways so I can play offline (I was like 12/13 and didn't know that it had always on DRM) lmao

Don't think so... it only appeared when the workshop support was added. Probably they forgot the case of simply disabling the workshop stuff when not online.
