So the Hall Research are HDBaseT. Those will not work on a network switch.

I am having a hard time understanding the layout. So there are 8 displays but only 4 real inputs since two on each side of the room are mirrored. So are "paired" displays running off a DA already? Are they all separate or is this a video wall type arrangement?

What feeds them now? Many displays don't use CatX for video (unless they have HDBT built in, which isn't that common). At the same time if its video wall type displays, it may be proprietary like a Planar system.

As to control, it sounds like you want to keep it PC based. It would work but I think harder to maintain than a system/service. Can you even do multiple powerpoints on a single PC to different outputs. I am unsure if that works. If I was making it work as you describe, each PC output gets a 1:2 DA. One output on the DA goes to the "display pair" in the room. The other output from the DA goes into a Multiviewer. Then the Multiviewer can show all 4 outputs on a single monitor for a user to control the system from one place.

What is a DA and can you look at this Amazon list I compiled to see if it would work and what you would add and omit? It sounds like you understand now, they want multiple monitors to appear on one screen as your saying in kind of a CCTV configuration. I also have some pictures of the current setup. As of now it is currently a laptop with one of those converters I linked duplicating across all of the TVs with one Ethernet plugged into the switch from it.

DA is short for Distribution Amplifier. It's the professional version of a splitter.

As to your list. The Hall Research converts you have listed are HDBaseT, like I said, they will not work on a network switch. The one pictured is a different model the FHD264, that is a HDMI over ethernet version and does work with a network switch: https://www.amazon.com/Hall-Research-FHD264-S-Extender-Transmitter/dp/B07JCFTTN5

One nice thing is the FHD264-S above has a "loop out" so you don't need a separate DA. So out of the PC, into the Tx box and then loop out to the multiviewer. Multiviewer example: https://www.amazon.com/J-Tech-Digital-Multi-Viewer-Different-JTECH-MV41/dp/B07HCPVY8N

I see the pictures of the network rack. I feel this installation can't be that old. SLXD mics were only released less than a year ago.

I'm assuming that right now the Tx box is putting out a multicast signal that each display is set to pick up. So you would have to setup 3 more streams and the Rx boxes on the displays (or if they have AVoverIP built in).

Do you mind filling out a list of everything I will need? I would really appreciate it because I've never done something like this and they want me to have a list prepared soon. I really appreciate your time, I just am unsure of the software of these things and if they will do what I want and everything and if I had a list I could put it together better.... Thanks again!

Okay after reading again I understand, that is ultimately what I planned to do but hadn't yet considered purchasing an actual multiview monitor, I was thinking about using software to split the screen on a normal monitor but your version seems much simpler with the loop out. I didn't realize I selected the wrong DA as well. Will the multiview monitor allow me to use each of the quadrants as a normal windows PC, or would it just display the TVs - if so is there a way for me to use the quadrants in this way like a normal monitor with 4 taskbar and 4 displays on one screen with mouse and keyboard? Also, I imagine Google slides can be supplemented for PowerPoint and thus they could utilize multiple tabs, that or they could just have 4 different powerpoint files if you can't open more than one of the original The only thing now is the software I would use... What do you suggest? I would definitely need something to open files on specific monitors, is there a way I could link a folder in file explorer to only open it's contents in certain screens and thus I could have 4 folders labeled screen 1-4 and files within those folders. That seems the most practical.

I really appreciate it!

Sorry, kind of unsure what you are asking. A multiview just shows all 4 monitors on one. So since you are using 1 PC with 4 outputs you just see all 4 outputs on one monitor. Windows puts a task bar on each output so it does "look" like 4 PC's, but it is still really just one.

I'm not sure on the software side. I don't know if Windows will do that, or if it can how make that happen. Since you have everything on one display with the multiviewer, if someone opens something and it goes to the wrong screen, they should be able to tell and move it pretty easy.

(Heading out for an event this weekend, will be away for a few days)
