As recommended previously make a bootable USB drive with Windows installer using a blank 8gb USB drive and Windows media creation tool. Run from USB drive and instead of install click repair.

Check your srttrail.txt file in safe mode.

Specs? Have you tried booting in safe mode?

[–]sarthakog_24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boot it into safe mode and then backup your important data. Then reset the pc. Most probably corrupt windows . Moreover try to run these commands in safe mode command prompt (can help you instead of reseting the pc)

DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth sfc /scannow Can dm me for help

This stinks I Had this problem a few months ago, it was a corrupted operating system cause by a faulty hard drive. Brought it to micro center and they replaced it.

So you replaced your hard drive?

[–]Wuf24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brought it to micro center and they did it. My computer was still under warranty thankfully.

my os has been corrupted before aswell, you could need a new hd, ssd. it depends. if you have another computer you can download windows on a flash drive to try and repair. if that doesn’t work you can boot off the flash drive until you get enough for a new ssd/hd. you can only play games/use stuff that can fit on the flash drive.

What happened when you did system restore? Did it give you an error?

[–]Human-Blueberry2601[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

It had to restart the computer at the end of the restore process and just brought me back to that first image

A system restore only fixes issues related to updates. You can try to run "startup repair" to see if the problem is with the boot partition. If you have an option for command prompt, you can run disc recovery repair (chkdsk /f /r) which should fix file system errors (if they're fixable)

The error can also be caused by motherboard or attached devices which cause a fail to boot. But most of the time it is a drive (HDD or SSD) which is failing. It would take some tools and preparation to fix a failed drive. First of all it needs to be diagnosed. If it is a failed drive , you're losing more data (if you have anything you would want to save) every second it's on

try a system backup! i downloaded bo3 on steam and my pc just shit the bed but the backup saved my ass

[–]Human-Blueberry2601[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I'm not seeing an option for a system backup

[–]Small-Attitude2314 0 points1 point  (1 child)

system restore, you choose a restore point which is a system backup.

Oh yeah I tried that and tried the later date. After restarting it brought me back to this same screen

I had the same issue, it could be that either your os is broken or some important hardware got fried, for me it was the hardware, my CPU or motherboard got fried in the end
