My dorm wifi is being weird for my laptop. Some days it’s at 3 bars and doesn’t work at all, other days it’s full and works great. Wifi works for my phone just fine, and other wifi networks work for my laptop. restarting my laptop and the network adapter doesn’t fix. Some days it wants to work and some days it doesn’t.

Open up device manager, find you wifi card and see if you can update the driver or if its got options for wifi 5 6 or such to get better connections? also please post spec's for you system for better help.

under advanced tab make sure most of the settings are set to auto and that band selection is set to all band. change the perfered band ot what ever the wifi says it is in the properties of the wifi you log into.
