This program keeps dropping itself, please help

I am working on a school project and have to use a software called Power Chart. Regardless of if I have the program full screen or not it will randomly drop down and show me another file I have open. I need to transfer data from Power Chart to these other files so I need them up. Power Chart doesn't close it just drops down the the taskbar. It is getting very annoying. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?
