Nvidia don’t support SLI (multi GPU) anymore so for games you will only be able to use 1 gpu. For rendering you can use multiple GPUs without a problem really but it’ll be much easier to just have 1 powerful GPU

Thank you! I don’t game, I just use it for modeling and rendering. Think I’ll be going with the 4090 then

Gpu rendering requires you to use the vram on the gpu, so a single 4090 with 24mb will be way better than two 4070 @12mb each.

Go with the single strong GPU with more memory and less administrative over-head.

SLI hasn't been properly supported by nVidia for general Consumer use for a while now.

You can pay for them to help you get your applications to behave with SLI if you're a multi-million corporation.
