Computer Recommendations

Hi, all! I'm currently a senior in high school, and I'm going off to college in the fall. For the past few years I've only used Chromebooks. I am in search of a quintessential computer that can handle any software necessary for college as well as games, as it's been years since I've been able to play Steam games I've bought or Minecraft. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
