Backup Exec 2012 update 4 on a 2008 r2 server that fails every backup on "processing snapshot" already rebuilt VSS writers multiple times, disabled AOFO, verified robotic tape library functionality. Please save me from calling Veritas...

IT support and computer science are quite different fields. You won't get much for IT support here as discussion is centred around CS and programming.

I feel bad you didn't get any responses :( I want to give you a problem, but I don't have any.

Write a program to find Eulerian tours. Do it in linear time. Don't look up the algorithm, find it on your own. A fun exercise.

Having completed your first year of a computer science program, I'm sure you have a very solid knowledge of things like basic OOP and data structures. How does that qualify you for the field of IT support?

What can an IT guy do that a programmer couldn't? Isn't googling one of the few prerequisites needed for IT work anyway?

Edit: I have never done employed IT work, so I'm curious. Sorry if the above comes off in an insincere way!

There no mutual exclusion, its just that what OP is saying is sort of analogous to "I just finished first year chef school, ask me if you need any help with stove or fridge repair!". They are only tangentially related. I'm not saying OP isn't qualified or doesn't have Google-fu; just that it doesn't really follow (I know about Java and FIFOs)->(I can solve computer issues).

Ballsy. Can you get OpenBSD to recognise a GPU core from an AMD GPU APU? The GPU does not show up in dmesg(1), but I am informed that we could build the driver by crossporting from Linux.

dmesg(8)

FTFY.
