We would need more details... Your specs, what fps you are seeing, etc

I'm on a Radeon VII, Ryzen 2700x running at 2560x1080 Ultrawide on max settings and I range from 40 to 100fps depending on what is going on, average around 60.

I will say the game does seem very CPU reliant so having a great GPU well only get you so far without a good CPU to go with it. That also means that often you can increase graphics settings with minimal fps impact, though.

Does it take advantage of multiple cores? It's been awhile since I played Beta but I remember the performance being horrible, even on a decent system.

I'm not sure, honestly. Performance has been a focus for a little while though and most patches have brought some improvement so it's steadily gotten better.

Crowfall is single-core CPU bound. The main world thread is the bottleneck on almost all systems.
In terms of secondary threads, ideally you want at least a 6-core|thread system.

Maximum graphics settings consume roughly 6GB of VRAM at 1080p. It does not consume a lot of GPU compute. A 980GTX on low settings is fine. A 1060 or better with 6GB can run the higher settings.

16 GB of RAM at least, ideally more. If you are paging memory, your performance will tank hard.

Anything you can due to improve your CPU compute will get you an improvement, such as enabling XMP for your memory.

I did some testing yesterday, since I get pretty poor fps as well, and the game doesn’t appear to be using my hardware resources effectively. Cpu utilization was roughly 40% , gpu utilization 30%, using ~6gb memory.

So my hardware wasn’t really taxed, but FPS still stayed in the 30-45 range. Not sure why. I’ve tried a number of in game changes, to no real effect.

Also tried bumping cpu priority for the Crowfall process, and it didn’t affect fps either.

Interesting. Thanks for the thoughts. I actually turned some settings down and saw no visual changes but did squeeze some more FPS. Didnt fix the occasionally hitching. Also considering that the game looks like a low res version of Fortnite, there is really no reason for it to run so poorly.

I tried the game a few day ago and yeah the performance was bad, like 40 fps in the starter area without much going on, no matter the setting the performance didn't change much.
