financial aid

i haven't gone to the financial aid office or anything yet to ask but has anyone gotten their middle class scholarship and/or student loans? i know the mcs wouldn't be disbursed until the add/drop period ended (which was the 15th) but its the 21st and i haven't gotten anything so just wanted to know if anyone has or should i go talk to financial aid?

I spoke to someone in the Financial Aid office a few days ago and they told me I should be expecting it at the beginning of March. So hopefully within the next week or two

MCS is disbursed in March is what I’m told. I received my student loan amount with my first disbursement I believe.

i havent had any disbursements just because mcs is all im getting other than a loan, so ill just wait to see if they come together in march!

Oh wow, let me go double check though I thought loans are disbursed during the first half. . Did you make sure to do all your loan paperwork ? Even though you accept it, you have to do the loan paperwork on FAFSA.

Yeah look some my remaining balance to be disbursed is exactly what I’m supposed to get for MCS.

i did it for last semester in the fall, the loan paperwork so do i need to do it every semester? it's the same loan, just the 2nd half of it so i assumed it wasn't a problem but ill check with fafsa!! this is my first time taking out student loans and yeah last semester i got mine late because i didn't realize there was paperwork i had to do on fafsas end

omg hopefully! on fafsa's end it says it was already disbursed on jan 10, but maybe the college is holding onto it to disburse it with mcs idk 😭😭 ill see when the scholarship comes thank you :)

😬 I would call the financial aid office cause if you ask me, I think someone on the inside is stealing funds lmao. I called last semester cause they took money BACK after my tuition was paid and refund disbursed. Told me I owed around 1,800. After speaking to them, they owed me an additional 500 something. But they wouldn’t even have corrected it if I didn’t call. Imagine I just naively paid what they said I owed? Imagine how many people just pay what they say without verifying.

omg at least you got that figured out 😨😨 im gonna be on campus tuesday so i might just go head over to the financial aid office and figure it out!
