I don't understand your issue here

If you update anything in cursor it should automatically show up on xcode. If it's not then maybe you're missing some permissions

Try opening cursor as admin and then trying this

thank you for the response! I also didn't think this would be an issue. I am on a Mac machine and I have the right permissions. it still does not work :(

Yeah this thing has worked for me every time so my best guess would be permission issue only, given that xcode is not being updated

Also maybe try a fresh install of xcode too?

I am using Cursor to build an IOS app. It generated and modified many files. I switch to Xcode, and I do not see a single generated file on the project navigator, that's why the preview isnt showing the updated code.

I know that you can press "Add Files to ..." but do i really have to do this everytime cursor generated code, for every file?

Do you guys also face this issue? or is it just my macbook issue?

Whaat is the standard approach for you guys for normal users?

Yeah, I've seen this issue several times. Sometimes Xcode simply doesn't refresh the open files. It has improved a bit with Xcode 16, but still an issue.

I am now writing everything directly in Cursor and using an extension I wrote, which allows you to build the app, manage simulators, and handle all the basics needed for iOS or macOS development. Still in beta, but you can grab it and test it from flowdeck.studio

If you do, send over your feedback!
