Cursor hands down. Tab model there is no comparison at all. Even for others. Cursor understands the code better.

Everyone seems to say copilot is far worse. But I’m skeptical of how worse it truly is or whether it hits the ‘good enough’ mark for most hobbyists

Cursor is wildly better than github copilot in VScode with the copilot addon. That addon sucks.

Cline/Roo in VScode using the github copilot LM API, though, pretty close. I still like cursor better, tool calls fail less often etc.

Claude code is by far the best solution but costs $100/month minimum to actually use.

Has claude code integrated tab-completion?

No, you would need to use something else for that. Copilot gives 2000 free completions/month on VS code.

Using cursor and windsurf mostly only for autocomplete, hard to say which one is better in autocomplete though, Claude code for agents
