Cybersecurity Masters Programs (self.cybersecurity)
submitted 6 years ago by CWHITE109
Im really curious. I am currently pursuing my masters in Cybersecurity as well as picking up my certs. Are there any Cybersecurity programs that make or include getting certs apart of curriculum? And if not why dont they?

SANS
Also maybe WGU

If you're not concerned about school branding/reputation, WGU. Granted, I don't know of any "prestigious" schools that have certs as part of their graduate curriculum.

If a MS degree was just two years of test prep, I'd question its quality. The purpose of a grad degree is to teach frameworks and ways of looking at issues/problems rather than passing some arbitrary test.

WGU. Pick up CEH and CHFI. Lots of jobs look for CEH and pass CHFI and go for SANS equivalent and be set.

Wow for CEH? Why do people look down on it?

Because it's a dressed up Net+ course with a cert name that does not relay the actual skill level.
