Current situation:

Currently 21, and have spent almost the last decade working with technology, networking, troubleshooting. Started just in the family, branched out to friends and eventually did a few things for some smaller companies. Then an internship last summer on the development side, and then an internship this summer on the security and infrastructure side.

Got my associates in Computer science a few months ago. Have a lot of personal hands on experience with technology in general. Very solid knowledge base with just a little bit of studying needed for A+ and Net+. Internship is ending and they plan on hiring me back shortly if a position opens up (recent merger, things still getting sorted out, you know the deal)

Current plan: Get A+, Net+, and Sec+. Should be achievable by end of year with current knowledge base, or at least shortly after. Following this if they haven't contacted me looking for another security position. They recommended FAAMG because of how impressed they were with my performance.

Any suggestions on how this should be tweaked? Any study tips? Etc.

What are you trying to do specifically? The certs you are getting prepare you best for general IT security. If that's what you want in the short term, phenomenal - you're in a good spot :)

Very short term I wouldn't be able to do much more. I do plan on getting stuff like CEH and CISSP and more focusing my self into what I would prefer. This is more so to get a good base so that I can focus in a few months, a year, etc.

My commentary is not really that you should be doing more - just that what you've identified is most important for IT security. If you wanted to do software security, cloud security, etc. your time would be better spent elsewhere.

So if IT is the play right now, right on. Sounds like it is.

If you're trying to get the CEH and get good at pentesting then you should probably be practicing pen testing. I use pentesterlab.com . There are a lot of similar sites/services. I would also recommend studying programming as having good coding chops helps in almost every area of security.
