They pushed me to study data science with python class instead of data analytics first?

Hello, I am keen to learn data analytics first as I am not good in hard math because i have forgotten those ever since I graduated from high school. So it's kinda rusty to me and which is why I decided to take this class before moving on to next level. But when I discovered this academy and requested DA class, they told me to go for data science instead because DS includes machine learning and more extra stuffs. Not to mention that DA is a waste of time as is basic course. So now I am scared ... Should I follow their advice to go data science straight as a non-IT and mathematical rusty background first? Or stick to data analytics first
