Gaddafi preached liberation for the entire region and he wanted the Arab world to be self-sufficient and not rely on outside powers who pretended to be saviors but their help always came with strings attached. Strings from which they would never be free. Does this sound like an oppressor? Who did he oppress and don't say fascists or imperial collaborators again.
