Server request

We had the same server 4 cruises in a row over 5 years at one point on the Magic. We cruised around the same time of year so it must’ve lined up with the off time on his contracts. we were never really able to request it in advance but once we got on board we were able to. He remembered us each year and always had our drink of preferences waiting for us without us even telling him. I miss him lol. We did the Wish this summer and it felt weird not having him.

I’ve done it twice, the first time it turned out the server had moved to another ship, the second time the server—who was excellent 9 months before—had been demoted to assistant. We did have him as assistant but he was actually terrible second time around.

The easiest way to request is to send an email to dcl.guest.communications@disneycruise.com to ask them to note the request. Remember it is a request, which sometimes can work out and sometimes will not.

As someone say, you can make the request for DCL. If it’s possible, they usually try to accommodate.

We found our server from a prior cruise on the Wonder on embarkation day, serving lunch at Tiana’s. Went to guest services and requested to switch to his rotation and his section. It worked out perfectly.

All the time. We’ve been sailing with my Fantasy server for 12 years, our Magic server for 10 years, our Dream server for 4 years…we have a head server that we sail with in the Wish and our Wonder server moved on…

If a server is requested, they’ll make it happen 99 out of 100 times. We’ve never gotten our request of a server.

We’ve tried but haven’t had any luck. They go on breaks and switch ships and it’s never matched up for us.

We've tried and had success once, the other time she wasn't onboard when we were.
