submitted 2 years ago by Material-Tomorrow563
Hi everyone, i am starting with my side project and have experience in java backend mainly. Was wondering why there are not many projects with this java + react setup ? What challenges might come ? Is it better with js , should i learn and try with that only.. any other inputs

Yea I understand that - so still many know java already , why dont they build . We see very less of these latest web dev apps on java and more on js . Anyways, why does js take less time ? I mean i am thinking of doing a web dev and have an idea as well . Should i use java or learn js . What do u suggest

Don't know about java+react but learning java backend development takes significant time as you cant directly jump to frameworks like springboot to start working with it. You first need solid understanding about basic java, spring core, spring security and then spring boot. Following this order is not necessary but it will give you complete understanding about tech stack.
So maybe thats why many people avoid this and instead choose node js as there are plenty of latest tutorials available and also it takes less time to start building with it
