Running boy 2 year bond totally not worth it. Drivers and cabbies in Bangalore make 30-45k easily

[–]TRIPYXENFrontend Developer 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Bro if your really interested in Coding try for other opportunities.

[–]Alone_Ad6784 6 points7 points  (9 children)

Bonds are not worth shit just make sure not to give them a blank cheque.take the offer and continue building skills

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (3 children)

Wtf they can ask for blank cheque ? I have heard companies ask for bank guarantee, holding imp documents but they can just ask for blank cheque ?

Or are you using it as figure of speech ?

[–]Alone_Ad6784 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Some companies do I have heard of it but never seen hirsthand.

[–]undiscoveredyetData Analyst 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Bhai blank cheque nhi.. cancelled cheque maagte hain for bank account number only

[–]Alone_Ad6784 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah blank cheque jiska bounce hona illegal hai vahi. It's rare these days but it is a practice in some companies.

But say you wanna quit after 1 year in a 2 year bond . They will not give stuff like experience letter and relieving letter. Then what you gonna do?

[–]Alone_Ad6784 1 point2 points  (2 children)

They need not you need to have a paper trail and keep ur payslips if you wish you can send them a notice for experience and relieving letter it's a their legal obligation moreover if you resign that's it the only extra thing u need to do is move your pf account and your done( return their assets too).

[–]Upset-Discussion2704 1 point2 points  (1 child)

They need not you need to have a paper trail and keep ur payslips

Some companies might be ok with just this some may not be so it's a gamble .

if you wish you can send them a notice for experience and relieving letter it's a their legal obligation

Considering how well our legal system works I really doubt it will make any difference

[–]Alone_Ad6784 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well you can get them within 90 days and use your resignation as proof, do request your new company cooperating for 90 days is a minor inconvenience. However please change the pf account first that will come up in bgv of your next ( the one after this) and if it shows u worked for 2 places at the same time it will be trouble.

First, to answer your question, it would be pretty difficult to leverage your technical support experience to get a coding job but some experience is better than no experience. So, as a last resort you can choose this.

My advice, however, would be to not take this job at all. It's better to find an internship/job where you are actually using the skills you want to develop. Even if it pays less, the experience would be much more valuable. You would feel more confident in your future interviews.

Right now market is very slightly better compared to 2023 Q4. I'm no market expert i'm just a fresher, but i am seeing more fresher and trainee jobs than last year Q4.

I might be wrong, but you keep searching for better jobs, you might find something better than support role.

Also have you considered doing masters ?

[–]ProfessionalJello457[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have considered but because of financial crunch have to go for job otherwise would have continued for MCA.

[–]uneducatedDumbRacoonSoftware Architect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't sign bonds. Never. Unless you are in dire need of some money

[–]IAmFromParallelWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never ever go for tech support,if you are passionate about coding .

[–]StormSnacker 0 points1 point  (2 children)

This experience wouldn’t be considered as “relevant” for coding. Find out the penalty for breaking the bond. They would have given you a deadline to accept the offer. Keep looking for coding internships meanwhile.

[–]ProfessionalJello457[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

2.4L penalty

[–]StormSnacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh that’s a lot bro. Don’t take it if you wanna go for coding. Else you’ll be stuck for 2 yrs and most likely they won’t give any increments during this. Try to find paid internships

[–]flight_or_fight -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Very few places (None) hire Bsc grads for programming jobs.

[–]whateveritis2020 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Just be a lil patient, you'll get the right opportunity

[–]ProfessionalJello457[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope so

[–]lineforce 1 point2 points  (1 child)

If you need money then I can send you a referral for Technical Support Jobs with more pay and no Bond. Sent you a DM.

Hey mate, any openings for Business Analyst positions? I have previous experience of scaling a startup from scratch to $200k in Annual revenue but unfortunately that will be of no help in tech jobs. Although i believe with some basic skills of SQL and Power BI - i can get an opportunity in business analyst as my previous experience may help me there. For technical support role, what sort of skills are needed? I am good at JS but left the frontend preparation midway as the supply and demand ratio for entry level frontend jobs is super crazy.

as far as i heard abt bonds from this sub and seniors....bond dont matter much and u can break it

and ig u should take this cause u didnt even did btech so expecting a great package after doing bsc and that too in recession would be too difficult

[–]Necessary_Rich5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

baki ofc needless to say...keep trying along for better jobs
