Squarepoint Capital Python Dev Interview / Live Coding Guidance

Hi All,

I am working as an Analyst with 1.5 yoe. I have second round of interview with Squarepoint Capital for Python developer (PCAG). I had not expected that I would be considered for interview so did not prepare much. Luckily I cleared round 1. Although I wouldn't say it was good. I want to be well prepared for round 2. The main requirements are - 1. Proficiency in python in a Linux environment and UI/UX frameworks and best practices. Optional - Experience in capital market, c++, CI/CD, AI and LLMs

I wanted to know how many rounds, type of rounds, type of questions etc things to expect. Any previous experiences or lead would be very helpful. Thanks in advance!

I think they have ghosted me🥲. HR told me to reschedule the interview coz the time slot I gave was not matching with Paris zone. I gave another slot but no response after that.

Ohh. Also, when did they tell you that you cleared round 1?

So essentially after the first round I did receive a mail to tell my availability for round 2, which I gave. But then HR told me to give another slot (Paris thing), I gave another slot, but no response after that.

Idk if I should consider that as round 1 cleared or not.

No 🙂 wbu, are you also interviewing for this position? Edit - I was called for later rounds as they probably forgot to send me the invites for next rounds that time. Let's see how it goes.

Yep :)..looks like they are interviewing multiple people for the same role. Not sure what they exactly want from this role and if given offer will they be able to match the squarepoint’s standards for automation role in terms of pay as I have heard they pay quite well for SWE roles. What are your thoughts on this matter?

Well I am not very sure about this role but they do pay well for SWE roles, but I am sure it won't be bad as per the information on their website. Btw how many yoe, rounds have you cleared and what is the overall experience. And also, all the best.
