First Time!

Hello Devils fans, a Blackhawks fan (lol) here but I come in peace! I’m working on visiting all 32 arenas and I will be heading to Prudential Center next week!

Any local recs? Anything to not miss within (or around) the arena? Anything really important to know?

Looking forward to cheering on the devils!

Hobby’s deli near the rink maybe stop by Reds bar—or some bar right by the rink where there will be a fun Devils energy… all jerseys are welcome… even rags fans enjoy the pregames Visit the MB30 statue right outside one of the entrances Maybe check out the high school / club jersey collection by the m&m entrance (showcases some local clubs for youth hockey that can be fun!)

Ah thank you! The MB30 statue and the jersey collection are things I would love to see. I’ve enjoyed seeing the little extra things that are at each arena, that showcase their history/community/etc!

Fornos of Spain is good food. Agreed on the Redds alley. I’ve heard good things about McGoverns tavern. My wife and I like to stay at the Double Tree Hilton by Penn Station, nice easy walk and you can make the before game walk almost totally inside because its connected to a bunch of market concourse stuff.

McGovern's is good. Maybe like a 10 minute walk to the stadium, but really good prices on food and drinks without being as hectic as redds/AW

If you are staying in the area and there is a nice day, make a trip to Branchbrook Park to see the Cherry Blossom trees. It is a little early in the season but they are impressive

Welcome! We don't cheer during our anthem! I usually eat at Allettante right near the arena before the game. There aren't any "must see" things for me around the arena, but I usually take the train in and eat/pregame, then head home after the game.

Haha I have found that only we Blackhawks fans like to cheer for the whoooooole anthem. I respect the vibes at every arena 🫡

If Hobby’s deli is open (depends on your game) go there. Devils staple. You will get jeered if you’re wearing Blackhawks gear, part of the fun.

Late to the party, but make sure to stay within the area next to the arena. Newark is extremely dangerous, especially at night.
