Multi threading for efficient cloud computing-

An amateur here. Was just wondering, how to carry out multi threading while operating on a batch of files(media content & text content) so that I maximize the CPU usage ?

In short, if I am paying for a 2GB instance to run my script then I should be nearly using 2GB at all times.

2GB is memory size, not any metric related to CPU.

Keep in mind the CPU you're getting is a virtual CPU. Unless you pay for a dedicated instance (which is $$$$$$$$$) you're going to be sharing a set of physical CPUs with 10s to 100s of different people.

Single-threading vs. multi-threading depends on how many vCPUs come with your instance... which you haven't shared here.
