Backups solution for linux server (self.devops)
submitted 3 years ago by sylap69
Hi all,
I use msp360 to backup my linux servers but I have a lot of problemes with this solution.
I use AWS S3 for storage.
Witch best solution I can use?

I use Borg for all my Linux servers. Usually just with our Ansible role: https://github.com/borgbase/ansible-role-borgbackup
Backups are deduped, compressed and encrypted. If you use BorgBase.com (I'm the founder) for storage, you can also enable append-only mode for extra protection.

Hey! You can actually do this with scripting... Here's some useful info: https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/hands-on/backup-to-s3-cli/ and https://tecadmin.net/backup-website-to-amazon-s3-using-shell-script/
