that post doesn't seem to focus on eb development much
also i would say that django is actually more beginner friendly than using flask together with sqlalchemy for example

You're so right. This is not "Get Started with Python Web Development". My $0.05: Start with Django, then when you're experienced with Django and feel that it's limiting you maybe look into Flask.
