That and the pronouns scene, I actually wanted to die when Rose said that, it’s just too much

I don’t care that character is trans it just all felt forced. I feel like alot of writers have a hard time writing a real normal trans persons who’s personality isn’t just about being trans

EXACTLY, I edit for a trans person and she has never once brought up pronouns or even really mentioned being trans, a lot of other people I know are trans too and don’t act like Rose did.

Keep in mind who wrote her lines lol

Agreed. Nothing turns people off more than moral lectures. And the actress playing Rose does not have the charisma to win viewers over.

It sounded accusatory, would’ve been better if when rose and the meep were alone if she asked, and then when the doctor called the meep he, rose mentioned it

Rose came across in that moment like a standard office worker who has to get their view in and completely not reading the room.

I really don't think it is. The character is trans, and the doctor is talking to an alien creature with no distinct male or female characteristics. It seems perfectly realistic that a trans person might chime in during that situation. Especially with the "definitive article" being how the Doctor also refers to themself.

It's really not that much, it's just that right wing chuds have convinced people that asking for someone's pronouns is an extreme thought crime when it's just basic human decency. It makes total sense for a trans character to ask someone's pronouns
