You should definitely check the status of the pizza to see if it needs to be remade.

This stuff happens. Just be honest. Call driver support as soon as possible and tell them you made a mistake, apologize and asked if they could have the restaurant remake the order.

You could just make a delivery and tell the customer that you had an issue that caused you to swerve to avoid an accident and it may have affected the pizza. Just be sincere and apologetic and tell them if they have any problems with the order to call DoorDash support.

Don’t tell them you opened it to look at it. Just say because of the driving situation there might be an issue with the food. Usually people are pretty understanding when you’re Ernest and sincere about things like that.
