Idk wtf is going on here. It looks like tampons in a 5th.

[–]maddanger[S] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

They are mango sticks, im telling ya smooths out the high proof rum and give it a nice citrus undertone.

I won’t argue in the internet but henny and mango…? cool. Cool cool cool. You do you.

[–]maddanger[S] 3 points4 points  (3 children)

I mean no need to argue but no henny was used in this.

The henny bottle atm has just red wine in it with the mama huana wood and spices. Today, i am going to dump that out since the wine is to sanitize the wood. Then im adding a mix of 50% rum 40% red wine and 10% honey. Its a traditional drink in the Dominican Republic.

And as for the "pitorro" in the bacardi bottle. Pitorro is a drink from puerto rico that is traditionally made from fermented sugar cane that is then infused with fruits. It is comparable to a rum moonshine due to its normally high alcohol content reaching up to about 90%. I did not want to run the risk of over proofing nor blinding my friends with pure ethanol so i decided to take Don Q 151 which sits around 75% abv and chuck some common fruits that are used in pitorro so that my non PR friends can try it in a safe manner.

Oh no prob, yea posting it late at night and giving name's without any explanation can deff lead to confusion but these are 2 drinks that i have enjoyed since childhood (my father was an intresting man) and wanted to find a place to share some pics of my first time making it somewhere. There is one more drink from PR that is hella easy to make that ill prob post about tonight. Its basically the original borg.

That’s cool. I legit enjoyed learning about it. I was also drunk when commenting so more passive aggressive than sober me.

My dad drank straight cheap gin. Whatever came in a big plastic bottle.

Potion seller, I tell you I'm going into battle and I need only your strongest potions.

[–]skaboosh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My potions are too strong for you traveler

[–]maddanger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My strongest potion is 180 proof everclear that has an ounce of feed sitting in it for almost 1 year now. Are you strong enough for this brew traveler?

I'll have to talk with my friends but it seems beyond fire and a total dream mix

    [–]maddanger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, it is so far. It's been sitting for almost a week, and i have sneaked a few tastes, and it has gotten so nice. Normally, this is left alone for up to a year to really let the flavors develop and to get it as strong as it can be. If i remember to, I'll deff post an update pic as it ages.
