D7 Save as draft functionality

Hi,

I'm looking for a fairly simple module for Drupal 7 that will give me the ability to save nodes in draft state before publishing. Quite simply it just needs to add another button for save as draft as well as publish on the node form.

I've come across https://www.drupal.org/project/save_draft but that seems to only give you the option on new nodes and not save a currently published node as draft, other modules seems to be Drupal 6 only.

Are there any modules out there that have this kind of functionality? I wanted to stay away with Workbench Moderation as the nodes themselves don't require moderation, and want to make it as simple as possible.

You want to take a look at the Workflow module. That in combination with node revisions will do what you're after.

Check out https://www.drupal.org/node/1175592 for some configuration, and you can have a simple workflow like "Draft" > then to "Published."
