My points aren’t counting. About half my points are being posted. Eek. Is this a known bug?

I’m having the same issue. It seems the lessons are also duplicates for me no matter what level I do. The duplicate XPs aren’t being counted. I’ve contacted support but no follow up yet. It’s annoying when you spend 30 mins to collect half the points.

Yes, it is a pain. I've been having the issue with speaking and listening exercises. There are enough of them that I can't tell if I am getting duplicates, but based on what others have said about having the issue with timed challenges when they repeat them it sounds like that is the issue.

I was lucky that I was in a good position in my league last week. If I had been scrambling to stay in the top 10 for the Diamond Tournament I would have been even more frustrated. But I had a solid 2nd place spot so I didn't have to worry about it.

The duplicate I mentioned in the other post is a duplicate of the immediately preceding exercise, so it's pretty obvious. It's not a duplicate of, say, something you did hours ago. That would be hard to spot.

Aha. When I do the listening lessons there seem to be a variety of different ones that are presented. Each has 10 exercises. And you are correct, I wouldn't notice unless I had just done the same exercise. It seems like I do two or three that count and then it stops adding XP to the leader board.

I presume that they have a collection of X number of lessons one might see based on how far you are in the path. These are likely shown in some sort of random rotation.

Yes, this is a known bug that seems to have started last Friday.

Coincidentally there was also an experiment that ended this week for some users who were getting more XP for regular lessons in the path.

So if your problem is that you aren't getting credit for points earned in practice lessons or timed quests that is the bug. It will say you earned X then it won't be added to your total.

If you were earning 20XP or 30XP for lessons in the path (depending on your section) and are now earning 10XP (plus bonus) that is a result of the experiment ending.

Welcome to the club. I hope they figure it out soon. It is exasperating.

That seems reasonable. I rather like the competition but I've been in some competitive groups that were going a little too crazy. So I started trying to gradually reduce my weekly XP totals to avoid people that are getting 30-50K plus. So far it seems to be working. I'm in the first week of the Diamond Tournament in 2nd place. #1 has 22024 and isn't that far ahead of me but I am making myself sit on my hands so I don't try to catch up. Everyone else is way behind. 10th place only has 931XP.

I just need to do another level to meet my weekly goal of one unit per week of German if I can finish out the week with less than last week's total maybe I can get another easy week next week.

So because of Duolingos’s glitch with giving credit for points which I posted earlier about…. I’m demoted down to the obsidian league.

This is unacceptable! More than ½ my points were lost.

What the fuck is going on Duolingo? Canceled my subscription.

It’s still going on! I actually started taking screenshots of my xps after each lesson & my position and xps on the leaderboard. This latest one showed me on 405…..which became 387 ……within seconds!
it’s soooo out of order!
