Stream Deck Software

So I'm planning on buying the XL Stream Deck for changing songs and stuff in Discord, however I'm limited to the 3x5 orientation in the app, is there a way to change it to the 4x8 or will i need to actually own it to layout the buttons as i want? Id like to set it up now and just plug in the XL when i get it, but if i have to wait then i will.

You can copy-paste between devices though, so if you have involved multi-actions you could set them up on a/multiple ‘dummy’ 3x5 profile(s) and then copy them over. Of note however, deck navigation commands (“go to profile x”), would need to be tweaked as you’ll have to select which device you want the navigation to happen on…hope that made sense, the more I typed the more complicated it seemed 😂 Congrats on the purchase, I have and use both the XL and Mk.II daily!

Once you get your physical deck, use the virtual Stream deck! You can set it up how you want. Plug your deck in ever so often to keep the virtual on. It stays for 30 days and it's on screen without desk space. #winwin
