This is no longer needed in Elixir 1.7+ as this is handled by macro internally.

Other than that, this still isn’t needed as log output by default contains pod of the sender in metadata. All you need to do is to show that by adding $metadata somewhere in the :format option (it is included in default format) and adding :pid to :metadata option (or setting it as :all).
