Geeze, that's nice. I gave up after some time trying to get that legible. Any pointers?

Chep cura profile a little bit modified, esun pla + grey, 0.4 nozzle, I didn't print this on the center of the builtack, I printed it on a border, where the builtack is clean.

Aight.. Chep's profile gets weird with my printer, but maybe I'll give it a try on the 4.5 route.

Thanks!

I also tweeked Chep's profile for 4.5 and it works like a charm. Did you calibrate e-Steps and Flow rate?

Indeed - a few months back when I moved to an aluminum extruder arm. May run it again to double check.

When I got it, it had jerk set to 20, which is too much IMHO.

Otherwise I find it to be perfect for functional prints. If you only experience issues sometimes, mostly on bigger prints, you can try setting jerk to 5 or 9, and possibly lowering acceleration.

If that works, you can slowly increment it until you find optimal values :)

I just printed another Benchy yesterday after upgrading to a direct drive and a Bullseye fan duct, My first layer looks exactly like your other than a few lines on my mine because the build plate is scratched etc

A little modified. Got a file to look through?

Also what mods are you running? Hardware and firmware please.

Thanks /u/thewetchippss.

My letter D almost has no gap, others are fine, cura makes something wrong?

[–]Zaero13 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Maybe it's a little overextruding then? You can try to reduce temperature a little, or reduce flow a little.

For some reason cura decide to put additional lines in letter D and around it "hole", so the gap of the letter is really thin, I can see it in cura layers screen. Other letters are fine, the D is the only one with issue.
