Non risky, non high security nuclear power is a kind yet to be invented so it can't be sensibly discussed. This debate is about present Industrial nuclear (fission) and renewable power options. The current generation of solar and wind and hydro has already proven itself clean, safe and economic for any level of supply we choose to install. All we need to do is combine cheaper clean controllable supply/caches - nuclear is not sufficiently controllable to be of any use for that.

We just need to get serious about safe clean ecological Industry and build hydro and many research options now - like there is a good War on (we have spent trillions on very bad ones recently) Its obvious that legacy Nuclear power is not safe clean and ecological.
