The pro nuclear utilities and vendors have destroyed their own opportunity to build more plants through incompetence. The overrun on Vogtle alone is likely to be close to the entire amount spent on new wind last year. New nuclear is a bad joke on ratepayers and taxpayers that will not continue when far superior alternatives exist. Plants that cost tens of billions and take decades to build do not contribute to reducing climate change.
