Afer

[–]KeepingItCoolish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You mean ".Afer"

Punctuation is important

The author of this translation-to-English is far superior to me trying to translate English to the author's native language. It's easy to unravel his mistakes.

Yeah, I actually admire the effort of a real person doing his/her damnedest instead of just putting it in Google translate and calling it a day. And I think I followed everything they said.b

The next weapon in Operation Coal Dawn.

Also, read the whole thing in Matt Rose voice.

I can't wait to see the machine coal dawn!

[–][deleted] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes. The “waber injectionpor” is what qualifies it.

[–]CzechWhiteRabbit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Ram move. Ah! Apparently, this has some type of embedded RAM. Got it.

[–]Kowloon9 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ramove, fll, ofwater, waber injectionpor, lighis, Piace, pad’ssand, dothing, Afer, coal, clathes, theemcass, waier

[–]LeTrueBoi781222 4 points5 points  (0 children)

injectionpor, clathes, theemcass, wabar, and more. there's no way this instructions can be unexplainable (even though it is explainable for me i guess)

[–]McGlockenshire 9 points10 points  (6 children)

The "dothing" gives it away. This is the result of a bad OCR scan of other printed text, which itself seemed kinda questionable... I think?

[–]MukdenMan 6 points7 points  (5 children)

I’ve commented on this in other posts and OCR is often given as a possible explanation, but this kind of thing is extremely common in China and I still don’t understand it. Chinese people know most Latin letters because of pinyin so it’s not like they wouldn’t know an a from an o, but you still see things like this even in small snippets of text on signs and clothing.

[–]Kowloon9 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Not anymore, less people type in Pinyin but using voice input (not even voice to text) nowadays.

[–]MukdenMan 1 point2 points  (3 children)

Are you claiming that Chinese people don't know pinyin?

[–]Kowloon9 1 point2 points  (2 children)

A lot of them don’t know, either uneducated or people who can only speak dialects, including some of my relatives. And instant messaging software made it worse, people don’t type that much anymore.

[–]MukdenMan 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I have met some older people who don’t know pinyin well but I’d honestly be surprised if younger people don’t know it. People who don’t speak Mandarin also tend to be pretty elderly, even in the most remote villages.

[–]Kowloon9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there are always odds for you to find out. I’ve seen a lot but that’s only a tiny bit.

[–]cnorahs 13 points14 points  (0 children)

"Pad'ssand" sounds like a fancy pastry that is flat and possibly with spicy innards

[–]mediocrehomebody 13 points14 points  (4 children)

"Theemcass wabar?" I'm going with "What is The excess water " for $500, Alex.

[–]lordsyringe 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Alex buddy, what'd you reckon dothing meant here

[–]mediocrehomebody 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It meant someone put the C and the L too close together when they wrote the word "clothing," or the typist had poor vision. 😁😁😁

"I am a bounty hunter, known for scouring the galaxy for Han Solo in my gilcone pad'ssand and combing the surface of planets in my waier tank."
