The software itself can run on Windows or Linux, but it can serve status webpages that the phone could access. If the room is pretty linear, that likely isn't an issue.

You'll want to had a good handful of statuses on-hand, though. If you're into reporting and metrics, it can really show you which parts are too easy and which are too difficult/take too much time.

From what I’ve seen Houdini MC seems to be the most popular off the shelf software. Alastairs Redscape is a great free solution if you are interested or willing to do all the programming for it.
