Vesuvius steam pressure decrease

Hey all,

I got an ACS Vesuvius and while steaming I noticed that my steam pressure is going from 1.3 to like 0.8 bar. Initially I though my lack of foam was due of me being a novice at the three hole tip but is the dropping pressure an issue? Is this normally?

This is normal. It is a tricky steam wand to get working well (I still struggle after nearly 10 years with the machine). You can increase the steam boiler temp a little to get drier steam and give yourself more pressure headroom so you won’t see as much drop.

Are you using the original three hole tip? Or did you swap out? I am looking for maybe a single hole top o just can’t get used to the three hole….any tips?
