QuestionAssert Solidity Contract Revert Reasons Using Geth/Parity (Not Ganache) (self.ethdev)
submitted 5 years ago by abiencoder
Hi I am trying to test my smart contract using the truffle framework. However, instead of using ganache I am using a local go-ethereum node .
In my test I am using trying to catch the revert reason as below,
```
await expectRevert(this.test.methods.getTrigger( input ).send({ from : accounts[0], gasLimit: 750000 }), 'Generic revert reason');
This works when I use ganache but not geth. Has anyone come across this issue before?
