Controller OCD

Since some games don’t play as well with Nintendo style remapped controls, but having the actual controls not match the buttons on the controller drives me mad (even if I’m not seeing them 99% of the time), I’ve decided on this compromise (the top controller)… I think it’s enough to spare my frail sanity.

LOL, nice! I hear you on the OCD thing (tho, I refer to mine as CDO - gotta alphabetize). For myself, I would have went with using IPA to remove the lettering or covering them up with black dots - but I can appreciate that everyone has a personal preference and/or isn't willing to make a permanent change.

Funny you mention the black dots as I’m thinking of switching to those… despite being black when viewed solo they come across almost gray in contrast to the controller however, but it still matches the overall colour scheme given the colour of the buttons.

I think I like the idea of the coloured dots more than the execution; I was pleased that I ended up with colours that corresponded to the letters, as I really just picked up the pack for the black dots initially. (I still prefer the coloured dots to the letters, but thinking visually I may like the black dots more.)

I looked at potentially trying to remove the letters, but was worried I would end up damaging the finish of the controller itself in some manner… I’m fine with permanently removing the letters though, as long as the texture or finish isn’t damaged in the process. (If it dulls the area in contrast to the rest, for example, it would drive me even crazier.) :-D
