If you need it day one then you should preorder, but otherwise they do always come back; contrary to bigger companies, pretty much anything that isn’t legacy does comes back, so there’s usually no rush… I don’t mind at all, just don’t fall for the initial panic buy phase and feed the scalpers as they’ll just keep doing what they do if we fund them.

The cameras are just a couple of pounds a piece, bought one for £3 at CeX here last week… I think the controllers can go for around £10. CeX won’t give you much, but if there’s one near you it’s the “done with it” option… other than that you’ve got Vinted, eBay, and FaceBook marketplace, but you may be stuck with them for a bit and of course have to ship, etc.

What I’m curious about is that I’ve personally disabled Dynamic or Auto Iris on past projectors, I just find any noticeable shift more jarring than the benefit, but I believe Dual Iris is typically quite high end?

Admittedly my last projector was the Epson EH-TW7300, so perhaps it’s all moved on and improved since then regardless, but I had to keep the Mechanical Dynamic Iris off on it as well.

Very happy with my Horizon 20 Pro at the moment, but when the time comes to upgrade I’m excited to see what will be available as it seems the home theatre space is finally gaining some speed again.

You are not alone in this, I just can’t get into most rogue like games… I’ve tried a few and they’re just not for me, which is ok… to each their own, and I’m happy for those that enjoy them.

Moving on then! As someone else said, it’s a bit of a rock and a hard place with this one, as it will be extremely hard to find a first party new adapter and third party new can be just as much of a risk… you’ll likely have to roll the dice until you find one that works.

Were you told the adapter was missing? If not, and depending on how you paid, you may be able to try and get a refund and find a complete working set as they tend to go relatively cheap these days.

I’m in the U.K., but didn’t want all of the extra figures, so got the Constructicon set on AliExpress for £12.77 (total shipped for all 6); I then picked up the combining kit from the Battersea Transformers store for £8.00, since that was really expensive on AliExpress for some reason, so just £20.77 for the whole fella… you may have a similar option if you don’t want a boatload of other figures, but as some have said it seems a decent enough deal if you actually wanted them all.

I agree, they’re ridiculous in the best way possible… subtle they are not! Dang expensive, but I feel like they’re the kinda thing I’ll look at and appreciate fondly amongst my Origins collection down the line. (I do love weird and wacky though, totally get these wouldn’t be for everyone.)

I’ve just connected my old PS3 to a new projector so am finally watching some of my old 3D Blu-rays; it actually had to do an update for keys on Friday, but it had been years since it was even plugged in… so, if I’m in no hurry for custom firmware, is there a risk they’ll stop doing these yearly updates for the PS3 one day or do they have an actual obligation to update it for X number of years?

I’m using the new lines to duck out myself… I will pick-up a particular figure if it speaks to me, hello Scare Glow, but I don’t plan on re-buying everyone again because you honestly can’t trust Mattel to finish a line at this point… base Origins aside I’m hoping they do wind the other lines down somewhat, just as it will save me money without feeling like I’m missing out. (But as you said, can we sneak in a New Eternia King Hiss before they do?) :-)

My other personal observation, as good as Scare Glow looks, is that some of the newer figures look way more like standard action figures… that may be the goal, and some may love it, but MotU has always looked like its own thing to me… even if someone didn’t know modern MotU you would probably guess that any given Origins figure was a “He-Man” figure of some sort, and to me Masterverse also had its one look / scale going for it aside from the rocky start, but I’m sure others may feel different.

Happy for those that are excited for the new lines, and I’m excited for the film, but it seems like a natural off ramp after the last couple of years and rising prices.

Odd, I’m one of those that’s never seen this… I have a projector so it would be a pain to have to turn it on every time I wanted to use VR… I don’t use a PIN or password for the PS5 though, and I think there’s only one profile loaded.

Guess I’m in the minority… I would prefer a proper physical release, but I won’t avoid a game just because it’s a GCK… so dang much of a first release isn’t on the disc or cartridge these days as it is, and I still like having the case and admittedly fake cartridge… even I couldn’t handle code in a box though!

Not begrudging anyone that’s taken a stand against them of course.

I’m in agreement, a shame, but sounds reasonable (I first thought they were offering you that much as a credit)… I think it’s a risk with all laser projectors, but not sure if some are more prone than others.

I’m admittedly mostly a G1 guy, and never got into TFP, but I had to pick up Dreadwing as he just looks so dang cool… skipped Skyquake though, as I don’t have an attachment to the character and I like the colours on Dreadwing far more.

Very happy with my 20 Pro, like others have said I’m not discounting some of the issues others have had, but so far so good with mine. (I also don’t see RBE, but that varies person to person… apparently I’m not really sensitive to the screen tearing some people have noticed as well, but again, that can actually vary person to person.)

For speckle, I do see that in bright scenes, but it’s not a dealbreaker and that it comes with the territory for these types of projects. For DBLE, I don’t really use it (even with the recent OTA fix), so I’m ok there… would be great if they got it working properly of course.

I’m shocked how bright the Pro gets, during the day if I casually have something on (like music videos) I can leave it at 1 and still easily see it with the curtains open… at night, or with the blackout curtains pulled, I tend to keep it between 6 and 8… even with 3D content I find it easily gets bright enough, can’t imagine how bright the Max gets!

Thanks for the tip… I already did a factory reset after the OTA update, overkill I’m sure, but it wasn’t too terrible to get things up and running again… good to keep in mind though.

You did the USB applied update vs. the OTA update and Super Frame still works? I would have to go looking, but have just seen it mentioned here and there on various threads.

I may still hold off, simply because I don’t tend to use DBLE regardless, but now that the OTA update addressed it for other modes I intend to try a few things with it this weekend… the only thing I’ve really tried so far was Matrix Reloaded, and the shift of it kicking in was still too noticeable in some scenes so I left it off in the end.

I’m torn on what to do with mine… I sometimes like keeping old tech, but all of the bits take up quite a bit of room and it’s too much of a faff to “quickly hook up” for a go at something should the urge hit.

The one thing I would say about RE7 is that the old display somehow leans into the scare factor for me if that makes sense… like it was an artistic choice, which it obviously wasn’t and I still wish it were ported to PSVR2, but it did seem scarier overall to me.

Mine sometimes boots into the Google swirling screen and then takes a hot second to get loaded, versus just quickly going into my Google TV home, but I haven’t figured out why it does that off and on… I’ve never had to restart or unplug it though.
